Tara Reid first appeared in television commercials while she was an infant. Her big break came after Tara Reid made an appearance on Saved by the Bell: The New Class. Though her acting skills have come under scrutiny, she is without a doubt capable of executing every role she has performed. In The Big Lebowski, Bunny became her breakthrough character. This film proved to be an important stepping stone for her career. She began getting offers for films like Urban Legend and Cruel Intentions. It is American Pie the cult movie featuring sexually explicit teens that put Reid in the spotlight as a promising actress in Hollywood due to her character as the virgin Vicky. This did not lead to an enviable Hollywood life. Reid had a bad time with films like Josie and the Pussycats. She did return with a small role in American Pie 2 but it was not a great addition to help her career stall. Reid is more well-known for her celebrity lifestyle or designer than an actual actress. Her off-screen gaffes as well as her publicized cosmetic surgeries have led to her being an unpopular actor.
