Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in the style that is his own. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Sunshine has been born Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang and played piano. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on the Atlanta's R&B scene. It has been re-mixed and is now component of her set. She has also contributed her voice for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during daily performances of four at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
